Claudia Perdomo León

I am Claudia Perdomo León, a Co-worker with the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God, working in the Nuestra Señora de La Paz hospital for the past 17 years. I joined as a trainee and began to familiarise myself with the spirit and philosophy of Saint John of God. When I completed my Hospital Management studies, I became a staff member of the hospital on April 20, 1997 as the coordinator of statistics and the archive, the posts I hold today together with Logistics and Maintenance, following the example of the Brothers who live Hospitality as faithful witnesses to the charism of the Order. Their example is a stimulus to us to share their vocation to serve and evangelise the sick and needy, faithful to the charism. I am grateful for this opportunity to bear witness to the importance of the Hospitaller vocation which the Brothers and the lay Co-workers share. I personally feel animated and integrated with the values of the Hospitaller community.

To effectively respond to the Hospitality project I have studied Business Administration as a tool for performing my mission more effectively, which invites me to experience the needs of the sick whom we serve with due respect, human warmth and quality care. This is a wonderful vocation in which I feel happy and fulfilled as a Co-worker of the Order, and I consider that the opportunity to know Saint John of God and to form part of the Hospitaller Family, is a gift of God.
