The initiative stems from a cooperative effort between the Northern South American and Colombian Provinces of the Hospitaller Order of St John of God, with the support of the General Curia’s Missions and International Cooperation Office.

From 15-20 September 2014, specialists from the Project Management and Fundraising sector of the Colombian Province as well as from the Northern South America and Southern South America Provinces are meeting in Bogotá (Colombia) in theFirst Workshop on Project Management and Fundraising for Latin America.

Purpose of the meeting is to organize a series of technical working sessions with a view to developing and drafting amanual of Project Management and Fundraising for the Hospitaller Order in Latin America.A number of sessions, to be held by videoconference from the various seats of the Order, will obviously be required.

The Bogotá meeting began with a few words of welcome and encouragement from Brother Juan Carlos Tovar, Provincial Superior in Colombia, Bro. Jairo Urueta the General Curia’s Delegate for Latin America and Bro.Moisès Martin, Director of the Order’s Missions and International Cooperation Office.

Technical experts included Ms Ana Meyer from the Projects Office of the Spanish NGO Juan Ciudad as well as various specialist from Venezuela, Peru, Argentina and Colombia.
