On the eve of the 2016 World Youth Day, under the theme “Blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy”, the Young Hospitallers of Saint John of God from many different various countries in which the Order is present gathered in Kraków on 25 and 26 July.

 

On the first day, the Young Hospitallers were taken on a cultural visit to the Jewish quarters in Kraków, to gain a first-hand historical understanding of the Jewish cause in Poland.

 

They also attended a concert of religious music on the life of Saint John of God.

 

On Monday, 25 July, the Day was officially inaugurated by the Father General, Brother Jesús Etayo, in the presence of Mgr José L. Redrado, the Provincial of Poland, Fra Eugeniusz, and numerous Brothers and Co-workers.
