On April 11, 2016 work began at the General Curia in Via della Nocetta to replace the electricity supply system (wiring, and heating and air conditioning systems) which had been held in abeyance for many years.

The enlargement of the kitchen access area and the demolition of the Hall are the first operations to be carried out. On May 2, the electric power installations will be replaced. In future, as already announced, energy will be supplied to the General Curia using an aerothermal (air heat) system and a photovoltaic (solar energy) system. The smoke detectors forming part of the new fire prevention system, and the air conditioning units will be installed in all the bedrooms beginning on April 26. Work to replace the lift will begin on May 2, at the same time as the installation of the power installations. May God help us to ensure that work proceeds to schedule and can be completed, as planned, by the end of August. For logistical reasons, the construction of the fire escape has had to be postponed to November.
