The EGC addressed various matters of which the most important were the following.
The evaluation of the Regional Conferences which have now come full circle, the activities reports by the various General Commissions and the Missions and International Cooperation Office, and the activities reports by the Regional Commissions – Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific.
The EGC also reviewed the document on the organisation of the Provincial Chapters and laid the foundations for preparing the next General Chapter.
It continued with a reflection on the stable and non-stable patrimony and the other obligations with which all the structures and centres of the Order are required to comply following the recommendations of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life in its document entitled “Guidelines for the management of the Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life” published in 2014, and which was discussed at the Regional Conferences, and will certainly be a major agenda item on which to reflect in the course of the coming Provincial and General Chapters.
