On April 4, the Hospitality Europe Association, on which the Brussels office of the Order and the Sisters Hospitallers depends, convened its first general meeting of 2016 at the General Curia.

In his activities report, Dr Galasso illustrated the most recent measures to improve and foster palliative care in Europe and his contacts with the European Federation of Hospital Pastoral Care Organisations. The European project, with the centres for people with disabilities – in which both the Order’s and this Sisters’ structures are taking part for the very first time – has begun very positively, and is involving numerous young Co-workers in the Provinces.

The members of the Association unanimously adopted the 2015 financial statements and discussed proposals to enhance the office submitted by the participants at the Europe Regional Conference.

It was decided that the next general meeting would also be held in Rome (14 November, 2016), because of the exceptional security measures introduced in Brussels, making it uncertain whether or not it would be possible to visit the European Institutions.
